Overview

Towards north southern part of Nepal, there lies a region of Annapurna, surmounted by the 10th highest peak in the world; Mt. Annapurna (8091m). The walk towards the base of Mt. Annapurna often referred as Annapurna Base camp trek in the altitude of 4130m or 13540ft is itself an enthusiastic and demandable trip. This trek is characterized by the mighty peaks, diverse snowy landscape, glaciers, unique culture, terraced farmlands, varied ecosystems, which not only facilitate you to limit yourself to the sight-seeing but also to experience the culture, traditions and llifestyles of local ethnic groups like Gurun, Magars, Thakali and Loba people. Moreover, Kaligandaki, the deepest gorge and Machhapuchhre cherish additional beauty to your trek.

We start our trek by driving to Pokhara from Kathmandu first. The real trekking starts from Nayapul which is 45km distant from Pokhara by road. Passing the dense forest of Rhododendrons and bamboos, the trail follows Modi river, hinku cave, Ghandruk, Chhomrong, Deurali, Jhinu Dada, and the base camp as an ultimate destination. This 11 days Annapurna base camp trek package is the suitable option for the people with the restricted time limit.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

After you land to Kathmandu, you will be received by one of our representatives who will direct you to hotel for overnight stay. You can even make good preparations for the trek as guided by our representative.

Day 2: Drive to Pokhara (6 to 7 hours drive)

Early morning at 7:00 am, after breakfast, the guide will pick you from the hotel to the bus station. The drive will begin at 7:30 am while it takes around 6 to 7 hours to reach Pokhara. Reaching there, you will be taken to hotel and after some refreshment, you can spend your rest of day walking around the Pokhara city.

Day 3: Drive to Phedi, and trek through Dhampus to Ghandruk (6 to 7 hours trek)

After the early refreshment next day, the guide will direct you to Nayapul which is 45 km from Pokhara which is the starting point for the trek. We are supposed to start trek early as it takes 6 to 7 hours to reach Ghandruk from Dhampus. You will be exploring the varied landscapes, ecosystems, greeneries, fresh air and the beautiful mountain vistas all way long to Ghandruk. Reaching Ghandruk, you will be receiving good welcome by the Gurung people residing there while cherishing the homely environment delivered by them.

Day 4: Trek to Chomrong Village (6 to 7 hours)

The refreshing morning at Ghandruk will be even more blissful by the mighty views of mountain (View of the world’s highest mountains: Dhaulagiri I (7th) and Annapurna I (10th)) even enhanced by the early rays of beginning sunlight of the day. You will enjoy the natural environment and the sweetness of warm morning tea. After breakfast, you will again begin your trek to Chomrong village which may take from 5 to 6 hours depending upon your walking propensity. After reaching the destination for day, you will be staying overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Trek Chomrong to Himlayan Hotel (5 to 6 hours).

This day will be the walk from Chomrong village to Himalayan hotel for around 5 to 6 hours. You will be staying at hotel overnight and have some good rest while enjoying the scenic environment therein.

Day 6: Trek Himalayan Hotel to Annapurna Base Camp (6 to 7 hours)

Now, you are very close to your ultimate destination. Trek of around 6 to 7 hours from Himalayan hotel will finally led you to Annapurna Base camp which is in the altitude of 4130m/13540ft. You can enjoy the spectacular mountain and glacier views from Annapurna Base Camp.Overnight stay at Annapurna Base Camp that day.

Day 7: Trek Annapurna Base camp to Bamboo ( 6 to 7 hours trek)

Now, it is the turn to back your route. After the visit at Annapurna Base camp, you will trek to Bamboo for around 6 to 7 hours. Your overnight stay will be on Bamboo.

Day 8: Trek Bamboo to Jhinu (6 to 7 hours)

In the verge of returning back, you will come across a place called Jhinu dada where you can have hot bath as it is referred as a natural hot spring. To reach there you should trek for around 6 to 7 hours where you will be staying overnight.

Day 9: Trek Jhinu Dada to Pokhara ( 5 to 6 hours)

On the 9th day of our trip, you will start trek from Jhinu Dada to Pokhara for the period of 5 to 6 hours. After reaching Pokhara, you can have some refreshing resting time at the beach of Fewa lake and enjoy the live night music. Overnight stay at Pokhara hotel.

Day 10: Pokhara to Kathmandu (7 hours drive)

On next day after reaching Pokhara, you will be driven to Kathmandu on a tourist bus which is expected to be 7 to 8 hours depending on traffic jam. After returning Kathamandu, you can walk around the valley (Sightseeing in the World Heritage Sites: Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa) and join the cultural dinner and a dance program. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu

As a final day of trip, you will be dropped to the Kathmandu Airport by one of our representative.
