Breathtaking journey offered by Annapurna Region is the trek to Annapurna Circuit, one of the most popular treks in Nepal. Starting the trek from Beshi sahar, you will be passing through Manang, Thorong La Pass, Mustang, Jomsom, Muktinath, Kagbeni, Kali Gandaki gorge, Ghorepani, Poonhill from where you will encounter the closest views of the host of mountains including Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Tilicho Peak. While on other side, you will be acquainted with the swift change in the cultural and topological facets by introducting the unique rural Tibetan and Manangi culture to the north and Gurung culture to the south characterized the subtropical forests, ice flows, arid cliffs, paddy fields, Tibetan style Buddhist villages, woodlands and a high mountain pass.
Indulging in these panoramic views, you will be passing through Marshyanghi Valley which direct you to the Mustang and then the Muktinath temple, a famous Hindu pilgrimage which then follows the path to Kali Gandaki Valley and finally to a small village called Marpha. Muktinath temple carries a historical cultural significance and the 108 waterspouts presented there is a holy symbol for the Hindu people. The Marpha village as characterized by unique Buddhist monasteries, apple orchards, hot springs at Tatopani will now follow the narrow cobbled streets to the charming village of Jharkot and Kagbeni that accompanies the trekkers with the Buddhist culture, monasteries, and the prayer flags.
Overall, the trek across the Annapurna Circuit in an anti-clockwise direction is enhanced with closeup mountain views with the interesting touch of natural and cultural aroma all along the way.
