Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal, which is regarded as the gateway to Nepal Tourism. The city is basically stood at an altitude of approximately 1400 meters i.e. 4600feet above sea level. Kathmandu is surrounded by the various Himalayas and the map of Kathmandu is like the shape of a bowl. During the year 2013, Kathmandu was ranked first in Asia as well as in third position among the top ten travel destinations in the world by travel Advisor. Kathmandu valley has been the home of Newari people from a long time ago as it is historically named after the Nepal Mandala. Mandala refers to the Sanskrit term which is in the shape of a circle or discoid object and it signifies the principle of life which includes the earth, space, air, and water.
Kathmandu city is full of historical sites, shrines, cultural sites, which gives the information of ancient periods from different eras. Kathmandu has three sisters’ cities namely Kritipur, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. All these cites are also enriched with historical and traditional monuments and have their own captivating scenery. People of Kathmandu are very talented on wood carving you will get to know the real history why all the temples and monuments have wood carvings specialty.
The capital of the country has a Schrodinger style of existence. It looks like a big village from above and feels like a city when experiencing it first hand. The array of temples and the ancient palaces located at the major cores of the valley are the main attraction of the country’s capital.
After your arrival at the International Airport, you will be received by our agency and will take to a nice cuisine for accommodation and lunch. The location will of course be either Thamel or NewRoad, depending on the available free space. After the lunch, we will be giving you the opportunity to enjoy the evening time and the healthy nightlife of the Kathmandu valley.
Day 02: History Day
History Day! The itinerary title says it all. This is day where we will be learning and visiting all the historical locations of the valley. Major historical places include Hanumandhoka, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares. These are the places from where the divided valley of the now modern Nepal was governed. We will be visiting each site on a private Jeep or a van (depending upon the number of people). The fooding will be available in each of the locations, which will shoot 2 birds with a single stone, i.e. we will experience the cultural food along with filling our tummies!
Day 03: Nagarkot – The Blackhorse of the country
On your third day here in Nepal, we will start our journey to Nagarkot early in the morning after having warm breakfast at 6.30 am.
Nagarkot is located at northeast from Kathmandu which is just 27 km away. Nagarkot is a beautiful and an ecstatic location placed at the edgy spectrum of the valley. The Nagarkot view tower will gives you the uncanny and beautifully scary location of entire valley which is one of the most overlooked locations of the valley. On the way, captivating view of hills, forest, societies will energies you from your inner heart. Our overnight stay will be at Nagarkot's one of the finest lodge for accommodation and we will experience the beauty of the sunrise in the morning.
Day 04: Departure from Kathmandu
We hope that we become family after this particular. This end will harbor a good relationship between us. After returning back from Nagarkot at approximately 12 pm, the time to pack your things will be given and our guide will help you. we will ready out for the departure. Before the departure our staff members organize the farewell for you and one of the representatives will drop you to the TIA at about 4 PM, hence ending our lavishing journey.
